Staff Security Software Engineer (IAM)

Location: Remote United States of America; the selected candidate may be based anywhere in the United States and is not expected to report to a GM worksite unless directed by their manager.

Salary: $160,200–$246,300 base salary annually; bonus potential is available.

What you will do

• Design and develop security-focused software solutions, tools, and automation frameworks for IAM.
• Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native environments, collaborating with infrastructure and application teams.
• Conduct code reviews and threat modeling to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Build and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for security events.
• Develop and maintain APIs and microservices supporting security operations.
• Participate in incident response and forensic investigations and track emerging threats and security technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 9+ years of experience administering, configuring, and supporting IAM products, including Entra ID, SailPoint, or similar products.
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or C++.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure coding practices.
• Experience working with security and audit teams.
• Ability to self-manage time, maintain an excellent work ethic in an Agile environment, and communicate identity requirements across different user levels.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Exposure to contractor-heavy environments and partner collaboration driving identity systems.
• Experience modeling and deploying external identity architectures.
• Experience with Databricks, Microsoft, or Google products.
• Experience with CASB security integrations.
• Experience developing front-end applications.
