Specialist, Manufacturing Automation

Location: West Point, Pennsylvania, United States; hybrid work arrangement

Salary: $87,300–$137,400 annually, plus potential annual bonus and long-term incentive.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot equipment and automation issues and improve manufacturing performance.
• Maintain automation systems through the equipment lifecycle, from qualification to retirement, in compliance with cGMPs.
• Design and implement automation strategies that improve processes and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional counterparts, vendors, and customers to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Maintain SOPs and technical documentation covering change management, problem management, and system performance monitoring.
• Support continuous improvement through problem solving, standardization, cycle-time reduction, and Lean principles.

Requirements

• BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant industry experience, or 4 years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong technical writing capabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with colleagues at all levels and with external customers and vendors.
• Availability for on-call support during off-shifts and weekends as part of a rotating schedule.

Nice to have

• Technical and operational expertise with DeltaV DCS, PLC, SCADA, HMI, and CSV.
• Knowledge of the S88 Batch Standard and GxP regulatory requirements.
• Ability to support automation inquiries during internal and external audits and discuss automation, process, and cGMP details of manufacturing operations.
• Pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing process experience.
• Knowledge of equipment and process validation.
