Specialist Product Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Hybrid; must reside near Eagan, Minnesota, Brookings, South Dakota, or Columbia, Missouri, with onsite work requirements. Travel may include up to 25% domestic and international travel.

Compensation: $124,000–$170,500, including base pay and variable incentive pay if eligible.

What you will do

• Lead or contribute to cross-functional teams and projects supporting business operating plans and a robust supply chain value stream.
• Provide product support for existing products and new product scale-up and commercialization.
• Drive cost reduction and process innovation with global manufacturing sites.
• Address urgent manufacturing issues and provide experiment coverage at manufacturing sites.
• Lead process development and validation, and develop cost estimates and manufacturing plans for efficient production at scale.
• Advance technology in automation, coating, extrusion, machine vision, film/web processing, and chemical processing; support suppliers and capital equipment projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline, completed and verified before starting.
• Seven or more years of manufacturing and/or engineering experience, including co-op and internship experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices manufacturing and process validation.
• Experience with medical adhesives, liners, and substrates.
• Project leadership experience.
• Demonstrated analytical and statistical capabilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently on a wide range of technical challenges.
