Senior Category Buyer (Procurement)

Location: Alpharetta, Georgia, United States; onsite five days a week. Travel up to 10% based on business needs. Relocation assistance and visa sponsorship are not available.

Salary: $89,210–$133,810 per year.

What you will do

• Develop, manage, and execute category strategies, policies, agreements, source catalogs, and procurement programs.
• Use the QCLDM framework to optimize supplier performance, mitigate risk, and deliver business value.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, inventory reduction, and quality improvement, and assess business proposals and risks.
• Act as the liaison between internal stakeholders and suppliers, considering production demands and supplier conditions.
• Document supplier performance related to timeliness and production while maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent experience desired.
• Working knowledge of data analytics, including collecting, cleansing, transforming, modeling, analyzing, and presenting data for decision-making.
• Working knowledge of interpersonal relationship techniques and the ability to collaborate constructively with individuals, groups, associates, and management.
• Basic knowledge of negotiation concepts and techniques, with the ability to negotiate with internal stakeholders and external vendors or clients.
• Working knowledge of purchasing policies, regulations, processes, systems, and tools for materials, components, equipment, and services.
• Basic knowledge of supplier relationship management and the ability to address critical issues while maintaining engaged supplier partnerships.
• Basic knowledge of strategic sourcing methods, technologies, and processes, including continuous analysis and improvement of procurement processes.
