Intern - Data Engineer (AI)

Location: Arlington, TX, United States (Hybrid); three days per week in the office

What you will do

• Debug computer code to correct errors and improve system performance.
• Develop solutions for complex business and technical problems.
• Participate in peer code reviews and communicate regularly with team members.
• Learn emerging technologies, system operations, and new technology releases.
• Review documentation and project updates to maintain understanding of system operations.

Requirements

• Current student pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher at an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or Statistics, with at least one semester remaining when the internship starts.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 on a 4-point scale.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to give presentations and communicate with business leaders.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
• Detail-oriented, able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines, and able to work independently or in a team.

Nice to have

• 1–2 years of experience with Java, C++, or Python and with version control systems such as GitHub, VSA, or SVN.
• Junior or Senior academic classification.
• Previous internship experience.
• Experience with AI-assisted software development or automation, prompting techniques, and emerging GenAI capabilities and limitations.
