Data Platform Engineer (AI)

Location: Gahanna, Ohio (Hybrid)

hirify.global is hiring for a 12-month contract role supporting an enterprise unstructured data platform.

What you will do

• Design scalable cloud-native solutions, reference architectures, technical standards, and technology roadmaps for enterprise unstructured data workloads.
• Build and support cloud platform services, ingestion and integration capabilities, infrastructure-as-code, deployment automation, monitoring, observability, and performance optimization.
• Design metadata catalogs, lineage, search and discovery, classification, and retention capabilities while partnering with governance and security teams on compliance.
• Integrate annotation and human-review services and support AI/ML lifecycle workflows, including ground-truth data, defect taxonomies, AI feedback, and model-output integration.
• Design human-in-the-loop inspection and validation workflows that enable users to review, correct, and enrich AI-generated results with traceability and auditability.
• Implement CI/CD, security controls, automated testing, resiliency, backup, recovery, incident response, and operational-readiness practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in solution engineering, software engineering, platform engineering, or cloud engineering.
• Experience designing distributed cloud-native architectures and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience with API design, system integrations, and enterprise data platforms.
• Experience implementing automation and DevOps practices.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with object storage platforms, data ingestion frameworks, event-driven architectures, modern API technologies, and CI/CD tooling.
