Senior Accountant (Fintech)

What you will do

• Prepare and document GAAP-compliant journal entries and maintain balance sheet reconciliations.
• Own and optimize monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including process automation initiatives.
• Prepare financial statements and support internal financial reporting and distribution processes.
• Assist with annual financial statement audits and respond to auditor requests.
• Coordinate tax documentation with the parent company and operate across multiple entities.
• Compute weekly reserves, maintain accounting policies and procedures, and perform financial analysis and special projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in financial services.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, reporting, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving remote environment and adapt to changing business and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated ownership, initiative, and willingness to take on new challenges.

Nice to have

• CPA designation.
• Experience with a broker-dealer, clearing firm, or other regulated financial services organization.
• Experience with NetSuite.
