Manager, Machine Learning Engineering - Agent Factory (AI)

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; Flex work with at least 50% of each quarter spent in the office or in the field

Base pay range: CAD 169,600–254,400 annually; may also include a bonus plan, commission or bonus, and annual refresh stock grants.

What you will do

• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing engineering team developing AI agents for HR and Finance.
• Drive timely delivery, technical excellence, scalability, reliability, security, and quality of production-grade AI agent solutions.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions with product managers, data scientists, architects, principal engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Evaluate and integrate LLMs, RAG, orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, external vendor technologies, and open-source solutions.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and enterprise requirements.
• Implement testing, monitoring, and feedback loops to improve agent performance and reliability.

Requirements

• 7+ years of engineering experience, including 3+ years of engineering leadership delivering products at scale with a strong focus on AI/ML and cloud-based systems.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven ability to hire high-performing professionals and build cutting-edge AI products.
• Deep understanding of LLMs, AI agents, RAG, and orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with enterprise-grade AI architectures, API integration, and large-scale automation.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
