Senior Software Engineer, AI/ML

Location: Remote, Canada

Salary: $125,000–$135,000 per year

What you will do

• Act as the AI/ML subject matter expert and contribute to the company AI strategy, product roadmap, architecture, and technical processes.
• Design and implement scalable AI/ML solutions, including coding, external component configuration, and technology prototyping.
• Develop manageable code, unit and integration tests, technical documentation, and shared internal libraries.
• Support project planning, milestones, deadlines, backlog completion, and customer meetings when required.
• Conduct code reviews, pair programming, collaborative problem analysis, and technical architecture brainstorming.
• Mentor team members and help the development team understand and support the functionality being built.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in software architecture, full-stack development, or AI engineering.
• Proven experience designing and documenting end-to-end software architectures for complex projects.
• At least 2 years of experience implementing advanced AI solutions, including semantic matching, RAG systems, and document parsing for structured content.
• Experience designing and deploying agentic systems with frameworks such as LangGraph, Crew AI, or the OpenAI Agents SDK.
• Working knowledge of coding-assisted platforms such as Claude Code and Codex.
• Knowledge of Model Context Protocol, related tooling systems, model ensemble methods, and fine-tuning techniques.
• Experience with knowledge graph databases such as Neo4j, Apache workflows including Databricks, Spark, and Iceberg, and Human-in-the-loop integrations.
• Experience implementing AI model evaluation frameworks, results testing, and iterative refinement techniques.
• Strong coding best practices, including clean modular code, comprehensive unit and integration testing, technical documentation, and understanding of code generated or co-authored by AI tools.
• Ability to write clear onboarding documentation, collaborate effectively, own development components, meet strict deadlines, and mentor team members.
