Environmental Specialist (Specialty Chemicals)

Location: Fully onsite 5 days a week at the Ville Platte, LA facility, United States

What you will do

• Support environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives across plant operations.
• Provide technical analysis, regulatory interpretation, and guidance to plant and site leadership.
• Develop, implement, and maintain environmental programs covering air, water, waste, inspections, audits, and compliance monitoring.
• Collect, analyze, manage, and report SH&E, waste, water, air, and sustainability data.
• Conduct environmental testing, inspections, incident investigations, employee and contractor training, and emergency preparedness activities.
• Track regulations, prepare regulatory and corporate reports, support capital-project reviews, and maintain the Responsible Care Management System in line with RC14001 requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• 3+ years of related environmental experience.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience with environmental programs involving air, water, and waste.
• Experience supporting environmental permitting and regulatory reporting.
• Experience with environmental inspections, audits, compliance monitoring, data collection, and recordkeeping.
• Technical capabilities in the relevant specialty area, plus planning, organization, problem-solving, data management, and oral and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Title V air permitting experience.
• Familiarity with emissions monitoring, testing, or Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS).
