Engineer II - Technology Product Management (PLM)

Location: Saline, Michigan; this position is based in Saline, MI, and requires residence within a commutable distance.

What you will do

• Own TERRACE, hirify.global’s implementation of the Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE platform, including platform strategy, roadmap prioritization, and the global engineering product and CAD data repository.
• Provide North American product leadership and coordination for TMC engineering systems supporting parts management, specifications, cost, mass, engineering design, and simulation.
• Lead platform modernization, upgrades, production support, vendor management, and issue resolution for mission-critical engineering systems.
• Coordinate TMC, manufacturing, and affiliate stakeholders to align North American requirements with global technology roadmaps.
• Manage cross-functional change initiatives and apply lessons learned from complex global TERRACE releases to reduce production risk and maintain vehicle development continuity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or 3–5 years of experience in computer science, IT management, or a related field.
• Experience owning or managing products involving large-scale enterprise engineering or PLM platforms.
• Familiarity with PLM, CAD, or engineering data management systems, such as Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE or an equivalent.
• Strong understanding of engineering and vehicle development processes, including parts management, specifications, cost, mass, engineering design, and simulation.
• Experience managing cross-functional relationships and coordinating across global organizations, including international OEM or Tier 1 environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including advocating for regional requirements within a global operating model.
• Experience leading platform or systems upgrades, vendor management, and production support for mission-critical enterprise systems.
• Must have the right to work in the United States and must not require hirify.global immigration support or sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with hirify.global engineering systems such as SMS, MAVIS, TENIS, or TIOS, or similar proprietary R&D platforms.
• Experience with hirify.global Motor Corporation or a Japanese automotive OEM.
• Background in automotive vehicle development programs and familiarity with TMNA/TMC organizational structures.
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum product ownership methodologies in an enterprise engineering context.
• Japanese bilingual ability.
