Manufacturing Engineer - Assembly

Location: Clayton, North Carolina, United States; onsite. Domestic relocation assistance is not available.

Salary: $89,210.00–$133,810.00 per year.

What you will do

• Maintain and improve manufacturing processes and systems for products produced at the Clayton facility.
• Perform technical analysis of manufacturing processes using continuous improvement principles.
• Support the execution of new product introduction programs and production routings in SAP.
• Design and direct the acquisition of tooling and machines, and procure materials for manufacturing improvements.
• Troubleshoot daily process issues, develop solutions, monitor improvements, and analyze and deploy engineering change notices.
• Respond to customer issues and lead process improvements.

Requirements

• Knowledge of engineering processes, techniques, and methods in a manufacturing environment, with the ability to design and implement manufacturing systems and processes safely.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing philosophy, principles, and implementation approaches, with the ability to integrate lean practices into production and management processes.
• Knowledge of problem-solving approaches, tools, and techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational, and process problems.
• Knowledge of product manufacturing methods, technologies, and processes, with the ability to plan, manage, execute, and monitor the entire manufacturing process.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with SAP production routings, including CA02, CC02, and CR02.
• Experience with 3D modeling programs, AutoCAD, or Engineering Team Center.
• Prior experience applying manufacturing concepts in an equipment manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills for working with diverse employees and customers.
