Field Program Manager (Active Top Secret Clearance)

Location: Hybrid remote/on-site at customer sites in the greater Northern Virginia area; on site 60% of the time. Travel up to 20%, including some international travel.

Base salary: $145,000–$185,000/year, plus potential equity grants and cash bonuses.

What you will do

• Own delivery, customer relationships, and the growth of hirify.global’ mission footprint across a portfolio of Northern Virginia clients.
• Serve as the primary program leadership presence and drive execution against the program roadmap.
• Plan and direct complex, multi-stakeholder project activities with a small cross-functional team.
• Identify and manage delivery risks, escalating issues when program outcomes are at risk.
• Build and sustain trust with War Department stakeholders across organizational levels.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and sufficient technical fluency to engage software engineers and data scientists as an informed, non-technical counterpart.
• 4–6+ years of relevant professional experience in defense technology delivery.
• Experience planning and directing complex, multi-stakeholder project activities.
• Proven leadership of small teams of 2–6 people in high-accountability environments.
• Demonstrated ability to build and sustain rapport and trust with War Department stakeholders across organizational levels.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with credibility across Soldier-level and executive-level audiences.
• Active Top Secret US security clearance.

Nice to have

• Direct experience implementing or integrating defense technology, including understanding why capabilities succeed or fail at the unit level.
• Familiarity with DOW IT, network, and communications infrastructure as an operational reality.
• Working knowledge of agile software delivery practices and ability to hold technical teams accountable to a cadence without micromanaging engineering.
• Meaningful exposure to machine learning or AI capabilities in operational or defense contexts.
• Prior customer success or account management experience with a defense technology vendor.
