Solution Design Project Engineer

Location: Hybrid in Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States

Base pay range: $82,000–$166,000 annually.

What you will do

• Evaluate new opportunities and prepare estimates and accurate proposals for material handling system scopes.
• Develop creative, competitive solutions in partnership with the Account Manager and relevant Dematic departments.
• Work on projects of varying complexity involving integrated hardware and software.
• Improve the speed and quality of Rapid Response processes and support technical knowledge transfer.
• Monitor project progress with customers and internal teams, estimate timelines and resources, and develop project plans.
• Prepare weekly project status reports and provide pre-sales support as needed.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of successful experience in a related field; an advanced degree may substitute for experience where applicable.
• Broad knowledge of the relevant specialization demonstrated through moderately complex assignments.
• Complex knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures in the area of specialization.
• Knowledge of organizational business practices and issues.
• Ability to concept solutions for Dematic’s current and legacy systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft products, including Word and Excel.
