Network Engineer (Juniper) (Networking)

Location: Fully remote for candidates based in LATAM. Night shift: 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM PST or 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM PST. A reliable internet connection and suitable workspace are required.

What you will do

• Manage and maintain network monitoring systems and troubleshoot faults, isolate problems, implement corrective actions, or escalate issues to Network Engineering.
• Provision and configure core network devices, IP assignments, DNS, monitoring tools, NNI ports, services, and controlled core and edge network changes.
• Build, install, configure, and audit network equipment, including hardware, serial numbers, security, and configuration records.
• Work with third-party suppliers on troubleshooting, upgrades, service impacts, network changes, and escalations.
• Write custom monitoring plugins, configure bespoke graphing, and maintain NOC procedures and technical documentation.
• Act as a Tier 3 escalation point for core network, datacenter, access network, and hirify.global services; participate in a 24x7 call-out rotation if required.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Network Operations.
• JNCIA or CCNA certification is required.
• Strong troubleshooting knowledge of TCP/IP routing protocols, including STP, VRRP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and IPSec.
• Strong knowledge of WAN technologies and network monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, and Adtran routing, switching, and firewall devices.
• Experience with VoIP, VPNs, security protocols, centralized device monitoring and management tools, and Linux OS/networking.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize work, maintain attention to detail and organization, and solve complex problems under pressure.
• Ability to work within a global team in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.

Nice to have

• Experience with SD-WAN deployment.
• JNCIP or CCNP certification.
