Manager IT Engineering (Network Engineering)

Location: Hybrid — 50% remote, with a minimum of 25% on-site with the team in Rome, Georgia and 25% on-site with the team in Macon, Georgia. The ideal candidate lives in or near Atlanta, Georgia.

Pay range: $63.45–$95.20.

What you will do

• Lead and provide technical direction for the Network Engineering team responsible for enterprise routing, switching, wireless, load balancing, internet connectivity, WAN, SD-WAN, and related infrastructure.
• Develop network strategies, roadmaps, standards, and engineering practices supporting growth, reliability, and digital transformation.
• Partner with architecture, security, infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to design and approve integrated technology solutions.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, business continuity, regulatory compliance, monitoring, capacity planning, maintenance, and lifecycle management.
• Lead major incident response, root cause analysis, change management, service metrics, and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate engineering resources, project timelines, budgets, vendors, stakeholder communications, recruitment, performance management, and career development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in network engineering, infrastructure engineering, or related technical disciplines, including 3+ years of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise network environments with multiple locations and mission-critical systems.
• Experience leading infrastructure projects and cross-functional technical initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, WLAN, data center, cloud, and internet technologies.
• Understanding of network monitoring, automation, Infrastructure as Code, and observability tools.
• Familiarity with enterprise load balancing, DNS, DHCP, and IP address management solutions.
• Ability to lead highly technical teams while participating in engineering and architectural decisions; strong stakeholder management, executive communication, project management, budgeting, vendor management, strategic planning, analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.

Nice to have

• Cisco CCNP/CCDP or equivalent certification.
• F5 Professional Certification.
• Healthcare, hospital, or highly regulated environment experience.
• Experience with large-scale wireless, campus, data center, or hybrid cloud architectures.
• Experience supporting environments with 24x7 operational requirements.
