Senior Software Development Engineer (AI Automation)

Location: WA - Landmark (Ride East), United States of America; Greater Seattle Area

Base pay range for Washington applicants: $197,529.00–$276,539.55 per year.

What you will do

• Design and build automation and self-service tooling that eliminates manual ticket-driven work across enterprise applications.
• Own the full software lifecycle from design through production operation, balancing technical debt with feature delivery.
• Build integrations between Jira, Confluence, and adjacent systems using reliable, secure, and well-architected patterns.
• Collaborate with infrastructure engineers and internal customers to gather requirements and validate self-service solutions.
• Lead technical designs, mentor teammates, review work, and establish reusable automation frameworks.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python, Go, Groovy, or comparable languages.
• Demonstrated delivery of automation or self-service tooling that measurably reduced manual operational work.
• Experience designing and building integrations or internal tooling, including REST APIs and system-to-system integration patterns.
• Experience building Jira automations and workflows using ScriptRunner, native automation, or Atlassian REST APIs.
• Solid understanding of AWS or comparable cloud platforms.
• Ability to lead technical design efforts, mentor engineers, solve ambiguous problems, build trust, and deliver practical solutions.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
• Passion for hirify.global’s mission and vision is required.

Nice to have

• Experience building self-service platforms or portals for internal users.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude or Codex.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, including Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with containerized workloads using Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience with authentication and authorization workflows such as OIDC, SAML, or OAuth.
• Familiarity with relational databases and federal compliance frameworks such as CMMC and NIST.
