Senior Frontend Engineer (Ads Formats)

Location: Remote - United States

Base salary: $190,800–$267,100 USD per year; the role may also include equity and, depending on the position offered, commission.

What you will do

• Develop resilient frontend solutions for ad formats using JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, the DOM, and browser networking.
• Integrate solutions into shared rendering infrastructure, frontend architecture, and build systems with Ads and Web Platform engineers.
• Design controlled experiments and phased rollouts while protecting performance, accessibility, and user experience.
• Build instrumentation and monitoring to measure mitigation effectiveness, detect regressions, and guide iteration.
• Implement ad rendering, event collection, click handling, and browser extensions across multiple ad formats.
• Improve engineering quality through technical design, testing, code reviews, documentation, and mentorship.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production web applications with JavaScript, TypeScript, and/or React.
• Daily development experience with Codex, Cursor, Claude, or comparable agentic coding tools.
• Independent delivery of complex frontend projects from technical design through launch and iteration.
• Sound judgment in frontend architecture, state management, component design, testing, and API integration.
• Experience building polished user interfaces with attention to usability, performance, accessibility, and maintainability.
• Ability to work through ambiguous product and technical problems.
• Strong communication and collaboration across engineering, product, design, and data disciplines.
• Experience using instrumentation, experimentation, or product metrics to improve user experiences.
• Commitment to engineering quality through code reviews, documentation, and technical mentorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with various ad formats, including video and display ads.
