Software Development Manager, Lambda Experience (AWS Lambda)

What you will do

• Lead teams of software engineers solving complex problems for AWS Lambda at global scale.
• Build, motivate, recruit, retain, mentor, and manage a world-class software engineering team.
• Define team vision, product roadmaps, and SMART goals for teams and individuals.
• Drive engineering best practices and deliver highly operable, maintainable software on time.
• Partner with product and program management teams and remain focused on customer challenges.

Requirements

• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns across the full software, hardware, and network development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, certification, and live-site operations.
• Experience managing engineering teams.
• Experience leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.
• Experience partnering with product and program management teams.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Nice to have

• Experience communicating with users, technical teams, and senior leadership about requirements, software features, technical designs, and product strategy.
• Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring, coaching, and managing software engineering teams to improve their skills and effectiveness.
