Applied AI Course Content Creator

Location: Remote, US; part-time collaboration of at least 25 hours per week.

Compensation: Fixed fee per course package, paid in milestones.

What you will do

• Develop graduate-level Applied AI course content, including guided lessons, hands-on labs, case studies, weekly assignments, and final projects in text and video formats.
• Write assignment briefs and analytic rubrics, including explicit rules for student use of AI tools.
• Design practical labs using LLM assistants, RAG applications, workflow automation, AI agents, APIs, and monitoring tools; ensure graded work can be completed with free or open-source tools.
• Curate research papers, standards, and vendor documentation, and create preparatory modules, glossaries, templates, and worked examples.
• Collaborate with learning experience and student experience teams on objectives, course structure, and assessment design.
• Consult on Applied AI topics, update content as tools and regulations change, and revise materials based on partner-university faculty review.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of recent professional experience in applied AI/ML, data, AI automation, or a related field, including hands-on LLM experience.
• A master’s degree or PhD in a relevant field, or 10+ years of senior professional experience in AI or a related industry.
• Practical knowledge of prompt engineering, RAG, AI agents, automation, APIs, and LLM evaluation.
• Experience applying AI to real business problems while considering business value, cost, risk, and reliability.
• Experience teaching, mentoring, or creating educational content, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Strong English communication skills at C1+ level, including professional and educational writing.
• Strong organizational and collaboration skills, proactive work style, ability to incorporate feedback, and ability to meet agreed deadlines.

Nice to have

• Experience designing higher-education or online-program courses and learning materials.
• Familiarity with AI strategy, business cases, responsible AI practices, or governance.
• Experience with EdTech or learning platforms, or contributions to the AI community through publications, talks, or open-source projects.
