Automation Project Manager (Digital Transformation)

Location: Hybrid work in Portugal or Romania; listed locations include Lisbon, Amadora, Perafita, and Bucharest. Remote work is permitted within the country.

What you will do

• Lead automation and digital transformation projects from scoping and use-case definition through implementation, adoption, and value tracking.
• Coordinate business, IT, data, and automation teams while managing timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and executive reporting.
• Translate business challenges into actionable automation and digital use cases with clear success criteria.
• Analyze internal processes and identify optimization opportunities using ERP, PLM, CRM, automation, and advanced digital tools.
• Drive change management and user adoption while aligning solutions with data readiness, process ownership, and governance requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, combined with proven professional experience in project management, digital transformation, automation, or business process improvement.
• Strong project and program management capabilities, including Agile methodologies such as Scrum or SAFe, risk and dependency management, budgeting, and timeline tracking.
• Familiarity with automation technologies, AI use cases, and enterprise systems such as ERP, PLM, and CRM.
• Knowledge of data quality, governance, and analytics concepts.
• Excellent stakeholder and change management capabilities, including executive-level communication, business requirements translation, and user adoption support.
• PMP or IPMA certification and an Agile delivery certification such as Scrum, SAFe, or equivalent.
