Technical R&D Program Manager – Data Products (AI)

Location: Rehovot, Israel; travel required for 10% of the time; relocation eligible.

What you will do

• Lead data-platform programs across definition, development, release, field deployment, and installed-base support for NPI and SPI programs.
• Build program charters, scopes, KPIs, integrated plans, critical paths, phase gates, governance cadences, and decision rights.
• Lead cross-functional teams across SW R&D, Computing, Operations, Field Service, Product, and Procurement without direct authority.
• Drive scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, and trade-off decisions; report status and escalations to senior management.
• Translate product requirements into configurable, orderable, buildable, and upgradeable offerings, including hardware/software releases, part numbers, site readiness, and customer IT and security reviews.
• Manage installed-base upgrades, migrations, ECOs, obsolescence, compute-hardware lifecycle, budgets, procurement, and long-lead materials.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years in R&D of complex hardware and software products, including 5+ years as a project or program manager owning programs end to end.
• Proven experience leading NPI and/or SPI programs from definition through customer deployment and installed-base support.
• Strong program-management methodology covering integrated planning, critical path, risk management, phase gates, governance, and budget control.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in a complex, dynamic matrix organization without direct authority.
• Strong technical understanding of complex systems, compute platforms, software release processes, and dependencies.
• Business understanding of budgets, cost drivers, procurement, long-lead materials, and customer environments.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Hebrew, including communication with senior management.
• Independent, proactive, and data-driven approach, with the ability to see the big picture and manage details.

Nice to have

• M.Sc. or MBA.
• Experience in the semiconductor equipment industry or with products installed at customer sites.
• Experience with AI/ML products, data platforms, or on-premise AI/HPC infrastructure.
• Familiarity with CAD-based or design-data applications.
• Knowledge of servers, storage, networking, security, and high availability.
• Experience with configurable products, BOM structures, software licensing, and field-upgrade kits.
• Experience with Smartsheet, Jira, GenAI tools, and PMP or similar certification.
