Corporate Development Director (AI/DevSecOps)

Location: Remote in Ireland, France, Germany, Israel, the Netherlands, Spain, or the United Kingdom.

What you will do

• Research the broader AI-powered DevSecOps market, including competitive dynamics, technology shifts, AI-native entrants, market maps, and competitor strategy.
• Build investment theses, assess strategic gaps, and compare build, buy, and partner options based on speed, cost, risk, control, and strategic fit.
• Prepare strategy memos, decks, business cases, and recommendations for executives and the Board, contributing to annual and long-range planning.
• Lead end-to-end acquisition processes from initial outreach through valuation, negotiation, closing, and integration.
• Coordinate cross-functional diligence across Product, Engineering, Security, Finance, Legal, and People, and prepare deal documents with Legal and outside counsel.
• Own post-acquisition integration outcomes and maintain relationships with founders, executives, investors, bankers, and advisors.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience across corporate development, corporate strategy, strategy consulting, or technology investing, including 5+ years leading acquisitions end to end in enterprise software.
• Structured strategic thinking, including forming and testing viewpoints from incomplete information and evaluating both market entry and non-entry decisions.
• Expertise in market sizing, competitive analysis, landscape mapping, and converting research into recommendations.
• Experience with valuation, financial modeling, deal structuring, negotiation, integration planning, and varied consideration structures.
• Working understanding of software development, DevSecOps, and AI sufficient for substantive discussions with Product and Engineering leaders about roadmaps and architecture.
• Ability to write concise, decision-ready updates and present trade-offs clearly to executives and the Board in an async-first environment.
• Ability to influence without authority and build trust across Product, Engineering, Finance, and Legal.
• Ownership of the strategic view and recommendations, with close collaboration with an Analyst on research and analysis.
