Director of Tech Operations

What you will do

• Lead the TechOps pod, including sprint planning, execution, operating cadence, cycle planning, KPI tracking, reporting, prioritization, and team management.
• Drive planning, reporting, leadership updates, KPI accountability, dependency management, and retrospectives across the broader Tech Platform.
• Oversee technology financial operations, including cloud hosting costs, forecasting, OPEX, CAPEX, budget governance, and cost control.
• Lead technology vendor and contract operations, including commercial negotiations with cloud, software, and services providers, focusing on cost optimization, contractual flexibility, and risk management.
• Support senior leadership, facilitate high-level decisions, represent the technology organization in critical forums, and drive complex cross-functional initiatives.
• Align Technology with Finance, Legal, People, Product, and Commercial teams, resolving dependencies and escalations and moving priorities from discussion to execution.

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in Technical Program Management, Tech or Business Operations, consultancy, or a Chief of Staff role within a fast-paced, technology-driven organization.
• Experience managing cross-company processes, preferably within a technology organization.
• Deep experience with engineering financial discipline, cloud budgets, CAPEX/OPEX frameworks, and high-stakes vendor negotiations.
• Ability to drive alignment and resolve escalations across Legal, Finance, Product, Engineering, and other departments.
• Strong executive presence and problem-solving skills, with the ability to represent the technology organization in complex initiatives and align leaders across functions.
• Experience working in a global organization and with global teams.
• Ability to work independently, learn continuously, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, highly demanding, and challenging environment.
