TL;DR

Bioprocess Engineer (Biotechnology): Managing operational activities and equipment standardization for large-scale mammalian manufacturing projects at a 6×20 kL upstream processing facility with an accent on GMP compliance, process engineering, and capital project execution. Focus on leading multidisciplinary teams, commissioning manufacturing units, implementing DeltaV and Syncade systems, and solving deviations through root-cause analysis.

What you will do

Develop and implement the MC2 equipment standardization strategy and roadmap in alignment with site and global hirify.global strategies.
Lead multidisciplinary project teams as the functional lead for manufacturing aspects of assigned projects.
Ensure technical and process standardization across the production plant.
Act as the production expert for capital investment projects involving the construction and commissioning of manufacturing units.
Implement current GMP documentation and regulatory requirements for upstream processing assets and products.

Requirements

BSc with more than 5 years of biotechnology industry experience, or MSc with more than 3 years of experience.
Strong biotechnology expertise and/or biotechnical engineering knowledge, preferably in mammalian cell culture and primary capture operations.
Practical experience with stainless steel equipment and single-use systems.
Strong leadership, communication, and team-orientation skills across internal and external interfaces.
Structured problem-solving skills, with Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt experience.
Focused, well-organized, open-minded, highly motivated, dynamic, and solution-oriented working style.
Expertise with DeltaV and/or Syncade Emerson systems.
Experience with deviations and investigations, including root-cause analysis, and with change management.
Fluent German and/or English and advanced GMP understanding.
