Senior Software Engineer - Integrations (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote - US; travel to professional office settings and events locally and nationally is required, with some overnight travel

Base salary: $180,000–$200,000 USD per year, excluding benefits and potential bonuses

What you will do

• Develop connectors for SIEM, EDR, SOAR, cloud security, identity, and threat intelligence platforms.
• Build services that retrieve security telemetry, enrich alerts, and support investigation and threat-hunting workflows.
• Design reliable integrations that handle rate limits, pagination, retries, timeouts, schema changes, and partial failures.
• Implement authentication, authorization, credential management, tenant isolation, and audit logging.
• Own production outcomes through automated testing, instrumentation, monitoring, performance troubleshooting, and ongoing support.
• Collaborate with product and security experts, contribute to architecture decisions, review code, mentor engineers, and make practical delivery tradeoffs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant experience building backend services and production APIs.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Experience designing REST APIs, including resource modeling, versioning, authentication, authorization, and backward compatibility.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and troubleshooting behavior across distributed systems.
• Understanding of databases, asynchronous processing, queues, and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience building automated tests and using logs, metrics, and traces to diagnose production issues.
• Familiarity with secure development practices and handling sensitive data and credentials.
• Ability to take ambiguous problems from requirements through implementation, rollout, and ongoing support.
• Clear communication, thoughtful technical judgment, collaborative engineering approach, early-stage startup mindset, comfort with ambiguity, fast execution, and a data-driven approach.
