Expert Engineer (Partner Integrations)

Location: US, Remote; up to 5% travel may be required. Some company roles may require regular in-office presence in Chicago, but this role is described as fully remote.

Base salary: $229,500–$260,000 annually, plus equity in the form of stock options for full-time roles.

hirify.global is a remote cybersecurity product company developing NodeZero, a platform for production-safe autonomous penetration testing and security assessment operations.

What you will do

• Design and own the technical framework for Partner Integrations, including authentication lifecycles, event delivery, retries, idempotency, schema mapping, and observability.
• Implement technically complex integrations involving advanced authentication flows, high-volume event schemas, and sensitive customer data.
• Define production-readiness, reliability, and observability standards through review checklists, code reviews, and design reviews.
• Maintain expertise in partner APIs and event models, including platforms such as CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Splunk, and ServiceNow.
• Mentor P3 and P4 engineers through architecture, design review, code review, and pairing.
• Diagnose complex integration incidents, coordinate with partner engineering teams, and build preventive fixes.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with deep specialization in production integrations, connectors, or API platforms.
• Expert understanding of API integration patterns, including OAuth 2.0 or API key authentication lifecycles, webhooks, idempotency, pagination, rate limiting, partial failure handling, and schema evolution.
• Experience building integrations with major security platforms such as EDR, SIEM, SOAR, or ITSM products, or comparable enterprise SaaS ecosystems.
• Expert proficiency in Go or Python.
• Strong understanding of distributed-systems reliability patterns, including at-least-once delivery, dead-letter queues, and circuit breakers.
• Experience designing and operating integration observability through structured logging, metrics, alerting, and dashboards.
• Experience with cloud-native and containerized environments, including Kubernetes and AWS.
• Experience setting engineering standards adopted by other engineers and driving technical decisions across team and partner boundaries.
• Experience producing clear architecture documents and mentoring mid-level engineers through design and code review.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with CrowdStrike Falcon, SentinelOne, Splunk, ServiceNow, Jira, or similar enterprise security and ITSM platforms.
• Background in cybersecurity, including understanding how SOC teams, MSSPs, and security engineers use integrated tools.
• Experience designing field-mapping schemas for cross-platform data translation.
• Familiarity with vendor marketplace certification processes and partner API agreements.
