Integrity Specialist

Location: Hybrid, with 50% in the office in The Hague and 50% at home. Qualified candidates residing in the Netherlands or the EU/EEA who are willing to relocate at their own expense are encouraged to apply.

Salary: €3,861–€5,982 gross per month, depending on experience, based on 36 hours per week.

What you will do

• Lead complex, high-risk investigations into safeguarding and interpersonal misconduct allegations.
• Manage whistleblower information, evidence, investigative materials, and auditable case records.
• Conduct timely investigations while documenting safety risks, risk assessments, and mitigation measures.
• Track lessons learned to improve integrity policies, procedures, and strategies.
• Contribute to integrity policies, frameworks, toolkits, procedures, training, workshops, induction, and resource support across global operations and partner organizations.
• Travel internationally, including to challenging operating environments, to conduct investigations, deliver training, support outreach, and strengthen integrity and reporting awareness.

Requirements

• University degree or equivalent in human resources, social sciences, development sciences, or a related field, or at least 5 years of qualifying work experience.
• Experience conducting complex internal investigations into interpersonal misconduct, including bullying, harassment, sexual harassment, discrimination, abuse of authority, retaliation, and breaches of organizational values or codes of conduct.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Experience assessing complex and conflicting accounts, exercising sound judgment, and reaching balanced, evidence-based conclusions.
• Strong investigative interviewing skills, including sensitive, trauma-informed interviews with complainants, subjects, and witnesses.
• Excellent analytical and critical-thinking skills, including identifying relevant facts, assessing credibility, and distinguishing interpersonal conflict, poor management practice, and misconduct.
• Strong understanding of procedural fairness, confidentiality, and principles of justice.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, international team.
• Willingness and ability to undertake international travel, including to challenging operating environments.

Nice to have

• Fluency in Dutch or French.
• Professional investigation training or certification.
