Data Product Manager, Business Operations (Palantir Foundry)

Location: Remote within the United States; San Mateo, California

Annual base salary: $140,000–$165,000, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Own and evolve the Palantir Foundry Ontology, including business objects, links, actions, and functions.
• Model GTM, finance, manufacturing, and operations processes so Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday, and other systems connect through a shared data model.
• Translate business needs into metrics, dashboards, apps, and governed use cases, deciding when to reuse, extend, or build.
• Run intake for new use cases and define objects, actions, access permissions, ownership, and delivery responsibilities.
• Partner with data security engineering to place use cases within appropriate projects and access boundaries.
• Connect internal applications, integrations, and selected customer-facing products through governed ontology APIs; lead enablement, office hours, onboarding, and documentation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in product management, consulting, or a forward deployed role, ideally at a software company shipping customer products.
• Understanding of end-to-end business operations, including GTM sales and forecasting, finance close and reporting, or manufacturing planning and production; experience in every area is not required.
• Ability to design data models and ontologies covering entities, relationships, and actions for evolving use cases.
• Technical fluency with SQL, data pipelines, APIs, and integrations between systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite, and Workday.
• Ability to extract context from business users, challenge requested solutions constructively, and scope an honest first version.
• Ability to learn systems quickly and document knowledge for others.
• Understanding of access rules, row-level security, and data classification as product requirements.
• Experience building and shipping applications; ability to create a React application that pulls from live data. AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Windsurf are part of the daily workflow.

Nice to have

• Palantir Foundry experience, especially Ontology design involving object types, link types, actions, and functions.
• FAA Part 107 certification; obtaining it within the first 60 days is strongly encouraged for all employees and required for certain positions.
