Material Planner (Aerospace/Defense)

Location: Onsite in Phoenix, AZ; the Space division is in Gilbert, AZ.

Salary: $35.00–$40.00 hourly.

What you will do

• Plan materials for multiple business areas, including Assembly & Test, and align supply with the Master Production Schedule.
• Identify and resolve supply-chain disruptions involving delays, shortages, quality issues, and supplier risks.
• Collaborate with procurement, production, logistics, and engineering to maintain material availability and delivery commitments.
• Create and expedite purchase requisitions, monitor purchase orders and delivery dates, and maintain work orders and their effectivity.
• Plan Outside Special Processing orders and provide reliable completion and delivery dates to internal stakeholders.
• Perform forecasting, data and trend analysis, participate in problem-solving, and lead continuous-improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Analytical skills for demand forecasting and inventory analysis.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills for managing multiple priorities.
• Problem-solving ability to address supply-chain challenges quickly.
• Prior experience in a complex manufacturing environment; aerospace or defense experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of planning processes, including requisition placement and schedule management.
• Technical proficiency with ERP and inventory systems.
• Experience with electronic components.

Nice to have

• ASCM/APICS CPIM certification.
• An advanced degree or professional certifications.
• Experience with PowerBI, Rapid Response, and advanced Excel analysis.
• Experience supporting lean manufacturing.
