Software Development Engineer in Test II (Mobile Applications)

Salary: $76,000–$128,000 USD annually for U.S. locations, including California

hirify.global is a full-stack insulin delivery company developing intelligent dosing systems, predictive insights, and support for people living with diabetes.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain automated tests for iOS, Android, and web applications, integrating them with continuous integration and testing tools.
• Design, develop, debug, and implement software test frameworks and automated test scripts using Appium, Selenium, and at least one supported programming language.
• Verify end-to-end product performance across wearable medical devices, mobile applications, and backend services before and after release.
• Determine appropriate testing levels based on software requirements and risk, and develop test plans and protocols aligned with applicable regulatory requirements.
• Partner with software developers and cross-functional teams throughout sprint planning, implementation, and verification in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 0 years of experience.
• Strong coding, debugging, and critical-thinking skills.
• Proficiency in at least one of JavaScript, Java, Python, C, or C++.
• Familiarity with Agile processes and the Atlassian suite of tools.

Nice to have

• Deep understanding of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
• Experience with cross-platform technologies such as Flutter and with developing automated test tools for commercial software products.
• Experience collaborating with geographically distributed teams or working in a regulated industry.
• Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills, self-motivation, and drive to meet objectives.
• Master’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, electronics and communications engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field, plus at least 1 year of professional experience in software development or testing.
