Full Stack Software Engineer (Java/Spring, Angular/TypeScript)

Location: Hybrid work arrangement at a facility in Bloomington, Illinois; Dunwoody, Georgia; Richardson, Texas; or Tempe, Arizona, United States, with approximately 40% in-office time each month beginning in late 2027.

Potential starting salary: $85,000–$125,000 per year, based on skills, background, and experience; the high end is limited to applicants with significant relevant experience. Potential yearly incentive pay is up to 15% of base salary.

What you will do

• Build and modernize technology that helps claim professionals access information, navigate workflows, and manage activities throughout the claim process.
• Develop modern user experiences, APIs, integrations, data capabilities, and cloud-based solutions.
• Explore and support automation that improves claim-handling efficiency.
• Contribute to existing platforms and next-generation capabilities across the full technology stack.
• Apply modern software engineering and DevOps practices while shaping technical solutions.

Requirements

• Strong modern full-stack engineering fundamentals with Java/Spring and Angular/TypeScript, including work across APIs, user interfaces, data access, and enterprise integrations.
• Experience with AWS, OpenShift/Kubernetes, containers, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, security controls, production support, and observability tools such as Dynatrace.
• Ability to design and maintain reliable automated tests using tools such as JUnit, Playwright, and Jest, with emphasis on regression prevention, maintainability, and dependable CI/CD pipelines.
• Comfort working with SQL/PostgreSQL, REST APIs, document processing, and complex business rules across interconnected systems.
• Applicants must be eligible to lawfully work in the United States immediately; U.S. work authorization sponsorship, including H-1B sponsorship, is not available.

Nice to have

• Curiosity about GenAI, coding assistants, retrieval, structured prompting, evaluation, and lightweight agent workflows for improving engineering efficiency, testing, documentation, or user experiences.
• Experience identifying practical, well-governed AI opportunities and validating them incrementally; end-to-end AI ownership is not required.
