Mechanical Designer (CAD)

Location: Onsite at hirify.global's Cambridge, Massachusetts office; US citizenship required with the ability to receive a government security clearance.

Base salary: $28.00–$47.60 per hour.

What you will do

• Create SolidWorks and/or Creo 3D models and drawings for machine components, cables and wire harnesses, and printed circuit card assemblies.
• Produce build-ready drawings for prototypes, production parts, fixtures, and test equipment.
• Manage designs and CAD files in 3DExperience PLM.
• Execute drawing revisions based on engineering change requests and draft to company and national standards.
• Identify design issues with minimal oversight and communicate them to senior technical staff.
• Report project status and issues, follow established processes, and provide feedback on process effectiveness.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in technical drafting.
• Well-versed in 3D CAD modeling and drafting, preferably Creo and/or SolidWorks.
• Proficiency in industry and military modeling and drafting standards.
• Ability to collect, organize, and capture design details in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to identify and define parameters using component datasheets.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or certificate from a two- or four-year technical school in engineering technology or a related discipline, which may be substituted with equivalent work experience.
• Must be a US citizen with the ability to receive a government security clearance.

• Experience with 3DExperience PLM.
