Manufacturing Drafter (SolidWorks)

Location: On-site in Anoka, Minnesota, United States

Compensation: $23.90–$44.40 per hour

What you will do

• Create and revise detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings for components, assemblies, and systems using SolidWorks.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and product management teams to support design intent, manufacturability, quality, and scale.
• Maintain drawing standards and design documentation according to company and industry guidelines.
• Support prototype development and testing with accurate design data and documentation.
• Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage CAD files and documentation in PLM systems, and design, build, and help qualify fixtures, custom tools, and inspection tools.

Requirements

• Associate degree or technical certification in CAD, mechanical design, or a related field; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Ideally 5+ years of CAD design experience, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in CAD, mechanical design, or a related field.
• CAD design experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
