Expert IT Analyst (AI)

Location: Cologne, Germany; remote work is possible. Up to 20 work-from-home days per year may be taken anywhere in the EU.

What you will do

• Analyse Plan vs. Forecast vs. Actual financial data to provide an accurate view of the IT organization’s financial position.
• Develop financial KPI analyses by IT domain, function, and cost type to improve cost transparency and comparability.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting cycles with accurate and timely analytical inputs.
• Monitor financial performance, variances, trends, and developments to support IT financial steering.
• Provide financial analyses to Portfolio, Performance & Insights, and IT domain stakeholders for discussions and decisions.
• Maintain reliable reporting inputs and data quality while explaining financial developments and variances.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, business analysis, controlling, or a comparable analytical finance environment.
• Experience working with financial data, including budgeting, forecasting, and Plan vs. Forecast vs. Actual analysis.
• Strong Excel skills for analysing, structuring, and interpreting financial data.
• Ability to analyse financial KPIs and cost structures, identify variances and trends, and translate data into clear insights.
• High data quality and analytical accuracy when preparing financial reporting and planning inputs.

Nice to have

• Experience leveraging AI, intelligent automation, workflow technologies, or low-code platforms to simplify governance, increase transparency, and improve decision support.
