Financial Analyst (AI)

What you will do

• Analyse product and commercial performance, linking revenue, direct costs, margins, and operational drivers.
• Reconcile billing, operational dashboards, and accounting data; investigate discrepancies and maintain consistent financial metric definitions.
• Compare actual results with budgets, forecasts, and prior periods; explain material variances and identify follow-up actions.
• Work with accountants and functional owners to verify cost completeness, accruals, allocations, and expense-recognition timing.
• Analyse product cost drivers, unit costs, and profitability, keeping assumptions and allocation methods traceable.
• Build recurring reports and dashboards, define data requirements with Analytics and IT, prepare management presentations, and reduce manual reconciliation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in financial audit, financial reporting, FP&A, or commercial finance.
• Strong accounting knowledge across P&L, balance sheet, and accruals, including direct collaboration with accountants.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets, reconciliations, or financial models.
• Investigative mindset and attention to detail, including tracing figures to source data, testing assumptions, and explaining reporting discrepancies.
• Ability to turn business questions into clear metrics, reporting requirements, and management commentary; organise recurring work independently and implement practical improvements.
• Fluent English.

Nice to have

• Senior-level Big Four audit experience.
• Product or commercial finance experience in technology.
• Familiarity with NetSuite or another major ERP, BI tools, Power Query, or SQL.
• ACCA Financial Reporting or DipIFR qualification.
• Valuation experience supported by strong accounting and practical data investigation skills.
