Backend Developer (ServiceNow/AI)

Location: Praha, České Budějovice, or Brno, Czech Republic; home office options may be available where the position allows it.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow backend solutions for the User Ordering Portal, including Request Management, Request Fulfillment, Service Catalog, and Employee Center.
• Analyze and improve request and fulfillment processes through technical enhancements, automation, workflows, and business rules.
• Integrate external systems and data sources with ServiceNow for requests, catalog items, assets, and related information.
• Implement and maintain Employee Center functionality in line with hirify.global design and style guidelines.
• Support Now Assist, Generative AI, AI Catalog Builder, and other AI-powered ServiceNow capabilities.
• Perform testing, incident resolution, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, documentation, and knowledge sharing while collaborating with Product Owners, developers, administrators, process experts, and end users.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on ServiceNow configuration and development experience.
• Strong backend development experience, preferably with ServiceNow or comparable IT Service Management platforms.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, GlideScript, Jelly, ServiceNow workflows, business rules, notifications, and automation.
• Experience with HTML5 and CSS3; knowledge of React, Angular, or Vue.js is beneficial.
• Practical experience with Service Catalog, Asset Management, Configuration Management, Request Management, Request Fulfillment, and Employee Center in ServiceNow.
• Experience or strong knowledge of Now Assist, Generative AI capabilities, AI-powered features, and application development is highly desirable.
• Ability to translate business and technical requirements into sustainable solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure software quality, maintainability, testing, and documentation.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with openness to working across technologies and expanding knowledge in AI-enabled ServiceNow capabilities.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Informatics, or a related field is advantageous.
• Required ServiceNow training: Administration Fundamentals.
• Required certifications: Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS).

Nice to have

• Certified Application Developer (CAD).
• Knowledge of React, Angular, or Vue.js.
