Head of Engineering (AI)

Location: Helsinki, Europe, FI. Engineering teams are located in Helsinki and Salzburg.

What you will do

• Lead the engineering organization across AI and data science, software engineering, customer technology, and infrastructure.
• Set hirify.global’s technology vision, product and engineering roadmap, priorities, and execution standards.
• Define and execute the AI and data strategy for consumer, merchant, and internal experiences.
• Ensure platform scalability, performance, regulatory compliance, cost-effectiveness, integrations, API support, and documentation.
• Manage team composition, skills, retention, development, operations, and collaboration across regions.
• Represent engineering in interactions with product, clients, investors, auditors, partners, government agencies, research communities, and industry groups; act as Information Security Officer for the hirify.global CX platform.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading global technology teams of 20+ employees across multiple locations, projects, and implementations.
• Experience operating in a complex, global environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including communicating security and risk concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to communicate technical vision and strategy clearly so team members understand their role in the larger plan.

• Experience engaging with research and academic communities, industry groups, funding initiatives, or scientific collaborations.
• Exposure to Java, Scala, JavaScript/NodeJS, PHP, Python, Go, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, S3, Redshift, PostgreSQL, Vue, React, Play, Spring, Flask, TensorFlow, Gradle, CloudFormation, Terraform, AWS, Docker, and related engineering tools.
