Unity Lead (AI)

Location: Remote, primarily within European time zones (UTC to UTC+3); Paris HQ and coworking access across Europe available.

What you will do

• Manage the engineering team, including performance reviews, career growth, hiring, and day-to-day support.
• Contribute as a senior individual contributor by writing production-quality Unity/C# code, making architecture decisions, and implementing impactful features.
• Lead the adoption of AI tools within the team and share effective use cases.
• Identify automation opportunities, expand knowledge of backend and AI systems, and continuously raise engineering standards.
• Manage a live, scaling game with production care, balancing technical ambition with revenue-conscious delivery and safe releases.

Requirements

• Senior Unity expertise, including clean and robust Unity/C# code, architecture ownership, and setting the technical standard for the team.
• Proven engineering management experience, including hiring, performance cycles, and day-to-day management of engineers.
• Clear and adaptable communication, including the ability to explain technical complexity to different audiences and collaborate across functions.
• Active curiosity about AI, including independently testing tools and identifying ways AI can accelerate team output.
• Strong ownership, with the ability to identify problems early and drive solutions beyond defined responsibilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including breaking down complex technical challenges, forming clear hypotheses, and executing rigorously.

Nice to have

• Experience shipping and maintaining live, revenue-generating mobile games, especially large-scale puzzle games.
• Backend or server-side knowledge that supports AI-powered workflows and automations.
• Experience navigating technically complex changes on a live product under production constraints.
