Team Lead (Python)

Location: Remote — Europe time zones; Portugal, Serbia, or Spain.

What you will do

• Own planning and delivery of technical roadmap items, including quarterly and multi-quarter planning with the Director of Data & AI and Product Manager.
• Lead backend, full-stack, and QA engineers, organize daily work, improve estimation accuracy, and ensure predictable delivery.
• Maintain the technical risk registry, identify risks early, and manage delivery trade-offs under pressure.
• Optimize data gathering processes, data pipelines, performance, and system reliability.
• Modernize legacy services, improve architecture, and reduce technical debt.
• Collaborate with product managers, solution architects, and other teams while ensuring documentation, visibility, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 6+ years of Python experience, including high-performance data systems such as StarRocks.
• 2+ years in a technical leadership role, such as team leader or tech lead.
• Experience planning, estimating, and delivering complex projects, such as database migrations.
• Deep familiarity with data lakehouse architectures.
• Experience with data gathering and data scraping.
• Strong understanding of performance optimization and scalability principles.
• Confidence in owning decisions with business impact and managing trade-offs under high delivery pressure.
• B1+ English level.
