Punjabi Linguistic Evaluator & Functional Tester (AI)

Location: On-site in Barcelona, Spain; Tokyo, Japan; or Portland, OR. Remote and work-from-home arrangements are not available.

What you will do

• Evaluate pre-release AI model output in Punjabi for accuracy, naturalness, appropriateness, overall quality, and factual consistency with source material.
• Test the Punjabi experience against the English version on client-supplied smartphones and next-generation smart glasses, checking feature parity and complete user journeys.
• Verify handling of non-Latin script, diacritics, right-to-left text, mixed-language input, and localized dates, numbers, currencies, and units.
• Identify display and localization defects, document reproducible issues with device, operating system, locale, build ID, steps, and evidence, then retest fixes.
• Provide native-speaker feedback on navigation, usability, and language-specific nuance, and support other linguistic projects as needed.

Requirements

• Native-level or fully bilingual Punjabi, written and spoken, with current everyday and technical language usage.
• Confidence using smartphones and laptops and moving between iOS and Android.
• Strong attention to detail and fair, objective judgment when assessing quality.
• Ability to work independently, follow detailed test scripts and guidelines, and explain issues clearly in English.
• Ability to work on-site in a private, secure hirify.global office area.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in software or app testing, localization QA, or linguistic evaluation.
