Android Developer (Digital Health)

Location: Remote from anywhere in The Netherlands; monthly in-person team days are required.

Salary: €4,600–€5,900 gross per month, based on 32 hours per week.

hirify.global develops digital health applications within the OMRON Digital Health Circle to help healthcare professionals monitor patients remotely and improve access to care.

What you will do

• Develop and optimise Kotlin-based Android applications for performance, stability, and user experience.
• Shape mobile architecture and technical solutions using sound software design principles and patterns.
• Build prototypes and proof of concepts to validate technical approaches.
• Develop features communicating with Bluetooth Low Energy devices.
• Investigate production issues through debugging and performance analysis.
• Review code, share technical guidelines, and collaborate with development, QA, and support colleagues while evaluating Jetpack Compose and Kotlin Multiplatform.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in Android or mobile development, with extensive Kotlin experience including coroutines and Flow.
• A relevant bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a comparable field, plus experience in an Agile environment.
• Experience with clean architecture, software design patterns, and MVVM or MVI in maintainable mobile applications.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose, mobile unit and/or UI testing, CI/CD pipelines, and Android design guidelines.
• Understanding of mobile performance and reliability, including memory management, multithreading, networking, debugging, optimisation, web services, cloud platforms, and APIs.
• Openness to working in a Holacratic organisation and contributing to roles, responsibilities, and work organisation.
• Fluent English is required for internal communication.
