VAT Associate (MedTech)

What you will do

• Prepare periodic UK and European VAT returns and submit them accurately and on time.
• Handle monthly Intrastat and ESCL reporting for European VAT registrations.
• Perform pre- and post-submission audit checks and reconcile VAT returns with balance sheet and other returns.
• Maintain complete indirect tax records and support internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with finance stakeholders and business teams on day-to-day VAT operations.
• Contribute to automation and process improvement initiatives for the indirect tax function.

Requirements

• Part-qualified in ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, with an interest in developing a VAT career.
• Foundational understanding of VAT; direct VAT experience is desirable but not essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
• Resilience under time pressure, adaptability to change, persistence, and a genuine desire to learn and contribute.

Nice to have

• Practical experience with Oracle or another ERP system.
• Experience in a multinational accounting organization.
