Skilled Trades Recruiter (Robotics)

Location: On-site in San Carlos, CA or Hayward, CA, United States

Salary: $122,000–$150,000 per year plus bonus and equity

What you will do

• Recruit assembly, electrical, test, quality, and maintenance technicians, as well as machinists, against manufacturing plans.
• Own recruiting from first outreach through candidate start date.
• Run high-volume hiring events with strong show rates, same-day interview decisions, rapid offers, and candidate engagement through start.
• Build pipelines through trade schools, apprenticeship programs, community organizations, referrals, paid channels, and local outreach.
• Align hiring managers on practical skills and evaluation criteria using AI-assisted pre-screening, structured interviews, and role-relevant assessments.
• Use pipeline conversion, show, offer acceptance, start, and early-retention data to identify bottlenecks and improve hiring results.

Requirements

• Experience recruiting skilled trades or technician talent in manufacturing, industrial operations, or a comparable hands-on environment.
• Demonstrated success managing multiple openings from sourcing and screening through interviews, offers, and closing.
• Experience building candidate pipelines through proactive outreach and relationships beyond inbound applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication, accurate applicant tracking, and the ability to use recruiting data to guide priorities.
• Ability to distinguish top skilled-trades talent through evidence of precision, safe work practices, hands-on problem-solving, craftsmanship, and troubleshooting ability.
• Resourcefulness in reaching skilled tradespeople who may not use traditional recruiting platforms.
• Credibility with hiring managers and candidates, including the judgment to challenge assumptions and provide balanced candidate assessments.
• Ownership, urgency, and operational discipline to run high-volume events and manage many openings without losing candidate engagement.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting a factory launch, production ramp, or high-volume hourly hiring program.
• Established relationships with trade schools, technical programs, or skilled trades communities in Los Angeles or the Bay Area.
• Experience recruiting for robotics, automotive, aerospace, or other precision manufacturing environments.
• Experience using AI screening or automation tools in a high-volume hiring process.
