Payroll Delivery Specialist (APAC) - 6-Month Contract

Location: Remote in Australia or Singapore.

What you will do

• Own operational delivery for assigned payrolls, countries and legal entities, ensuring accurate, compliant and timely processing.
• Investigate payroll data issues, integration exceptions and discrepancies, and coordinate root-cause resolution.
• Manage relationships with outsourced payroll providers, monitor service quality and escalate delivery risks.
• Support employees, managers and stakeholders with complex payroll enquiries and escalations through ServiceNow and other channels.
• Execute payroll controls, reconciliations, validations, approvals, audit support and compliance activities.
• Improve payroll quality and efficiency through data analysis, process standardisation, automation and emerging technologies including AI.

Requirements

• 3+ years of payroll experience within a complex payroll environment.
• Experience working with outsourced payroll providers and across multiple jurisdictions, entities or payroll providers.
• Strong understanding of payroll validation, controls and reconciliations.
• Experience managing payroll issues, exceptions and escalations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and investigative skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience using HRIS and payroll technology platforms.
• Strong Excel and data analysis capability.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and accuracy.
• Valid work permit or visa for the country where you would be located and working.

Nice to have

• Experience in a multinational organisation.
• Experience with Workday.
• Payroll qualification such as CPP, CIPP or equivalent.
• Experience supporting payroll transformation, integrations and automation initiatives.
• Ability to interpret payroll data and identify business insights and trends.
• Knowledge of AI-enabled, analytics-driven or technology-led payroll operating models.
