Network Infrastructure Delivery Engineer

What you will do

• Oversee contracted vendors delivering the design, implementation, testing, and documentation of connected systems supporting attractions, back-of-house facilities, and front-of-house facilities.
• Lead the design and preparation of plans for data centers and critical environments, including racks, cable management, copper cabling, and fiber-optic cabling.
• Inspect vendor work, conduct acceptance testing, verify certifications, and coordinate requirements across engineering, technical services, AV, RSN, and UPT groups.
• Prepare construction plans for refurbishments and new builds using UPT standards, Creative OPS requirements, and local building codes.
• Maintain project inputs for scheduling and budgets, and work with vendors and partners on cost-saving approaches.
• Review designs across projects to ensure security, growth, safety, redundancy, reliability, sustainability, and maintainability requirements are addressed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
• Technical leadership experience in infrastructure and/or data center operations is required.
• Strong knowledge of telecommunications and structured cabling standards and systems, including cable management and fiber distribution.
• Experience managing mid- to large-scale facility design and build-outs, preferably for campus-style locations or corporate headquarters and branch-location models.
• Experience installing equipment according to electrical codes and grounding regulations, including utilization projections, spikes, and ranges.
• Experience planning and installing data center and critical-environment racks, cable management, copper cabling, and fiber-optic cabling.
• Leadership ability and the capacity to work independently and as part of a larger infrastructure team, with working knowledge of compute and networking devices and deployments.
• Strong working knowledge of MEP standards and operations, including BTU calculations and heat-load projections.
• Strong analytical, organizational, project management, communication, interpersonal, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Knowledge of industry standards and ability to develop strategic infrastructure solutions, including understanding and testing of earthing and grounding systems.
• Advanced MS Office skills, including PowerPoint and Visio, plus Bluebeam and AutoCAD.
