DevOps Engineer (Azure)

Location: Remote, hybrid, or office-based in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, or The Netherlands.

Salary: EUR 2,750–4,800 per month gross; final compensation depends on experience, location, and professional growth.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and/or OpenTofu in Microsoft Azure.
• Design, implement, and support Azure resources including Container Apps, Cosmos DB, Data Lake, App Configuration, and Key Vault.
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and deployment automation with Azure DevOps and Azure Pipelines.
• Implement and maintain monitoring and observability solutions with Datadog or similar tools.
• Collaborate in an embedded Agile product team with Product Owner, front-end, back-end, and DevOps specialists.
• Support and improve DevOps practices, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and contribute to backend development in C#.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Container Apps, Cosmos DB, Data Lake, App Configuration, and Key Vault.
• Practical experience provisioning and managing Azure infrastructure with Terraform and/or OpenTofu.
• Experience building and maintaining Azure Pipelines, CI/CD workflows, and release processes in Azure DevOps.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, deployment automation, and DevOps best practices.
• Experience with Datadog or similar monitoring and logging platforms, cloud environment support, and infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Understanding of software development practices; knowledge of C# is an advantage.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ability to investigate technical issues and deliver reliable solutions, with strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Upper-Intermediate English or above.

Nice to have

• Configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, or Ansible; AWS or other cloud platforms; and Pulumi or other IaC tools.
• Linux, networking fundamentals, security best practices, secure coding, and cloud security tooling.
• Docker, containerisation, and broader orchestration platforms.
• JavaScript frameworks including Node.js, Angular, or React; unit testing and mocking frameworks.
• Agile/Scrum delivery experience, MLOps experience, and AI-assisted software development tooling.
• Insurance industry knowledge and a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
