Senior Data Scientist (Python)

Location: 811 Excellence Dr, Bentonville, AR 72716, United States; onsite, full time.

Salary: $110,302–$180,000 per year, plus annual or quarterly performance incentives.

What you will do

• Identify fit-for-purpose data sources, clarify requirements and service-level agreements, and perform initial data quality checks on high-volume logistics datasets.
• Translate business problems into analytical and mathematical solutions, develop business cases, and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
• Build, test, tune, assess, and validate analytical models, including forecasting, trend and cluster analysis, experiments, and model ensembles.
• Develop production-grade code and support model deployment, scalability, sustainability, feature pipelines, monitoring, and orchestration.
• Create data visualizations, Tableau dashboards, executive presentations, operational reporting, and self-service analytics.
• Mentor junior associates and collaborate with product, engineering, operations, UX, UI, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field plus 1 year of analytics-related experience; or bachelor’s degree or equivalent in one of these fields plus 3 years of analytics-related experience.
• Experience with SQL and big-data tooling for mining and transforming high-volume logistics datasets.
• Experience with Python for production-grade data science, time-series forecasting, MLOps and productionization, including feature pipelines, model monitoring, Airflow-style orchestration, and reliability.
• Experience with experimentation and causal inference, including A/B tests and uplift modeling, to translate business needs into measurable data science solutions.
• Experience applying supervised or unsupervised machine learning to improve efficiency, cost, and customer experience.
• Experience with large-scale algorithm development and testing, including design, A/B evaluation, and KPI alignment.
• Experience with cross-functional communication, stakeholder management, Tableau dashboarding, BI visualization, data warehousing, ETL, KPI frameworks, and executive storytelling.
