Software Engineer III (Machine Learning)

Salary: $90,000–$180,000 per year, plus annual or quarterly performance incentives.

What you will do

• Guide small groups of two to three engineers, including offshore associates, by providing technical documentation, direction, examples, and timelines.
• Translate business and project requirements into technical solutions, designs, code, and implementation plans.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain production-ready machine learning software and cloud-based architectures.
• Manage complex projects, communicate status and issues, collaborate with product, project management, business, UX, and cross-functional teams, and ensure timely delivery.
• Troubleshoot business and production issues, perform root-cause analysis, coordinate support teams, and implement corrective action plans.
• Participate in discovery and high-level design for small- to medium-sized projects.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience coding in Python using object-oriented programming.
• Experience understanding machine learning or deep learning algorithms and packaging models into production-ready code.
• Experience using a machine learning platform such as Element, Google Vertex AI, or Azure ML Studio.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Dataproc.
• Experience using SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Concord, Looper, Docker, or WCNP.
• Experience setting up Python unit-testing and integration-testing frameworks, using pipeline orchestration tools such as Airflow or Astronomer, and designing cloud-based end-to-end software architectures.
• Experience using GitHub for software project change management and following software deployment and maintenance best practices. Any amount of experience with the listed skills is accepted; no specific number of years is required.
