Planning & Procurement Manager (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Build the Planning & Procurement operating model, including governance, processes, decision frameworks, and links between demand, inventory, procurement, Commercial, and Clinical priorities.
• Design and run the monthly S&OP cycle using demand signals, inventory positions, supplier performance, and supply constraints.
• Develop category sourcing and negotiation strategies with Commercial, including volume commitments, MOQs, payment terms, and multi-year agreements.
• Manage strategic supplier performance through scorecards, quarterly business reviews, and performance improvement plans.
• Build supply-risk and contracting frameworks with Legal and Compliance, covering sourcing risks, Australian labelling, ARTG requirements, import duties, and biosecurity obligations.
• Own the procurement and supply aspects of new product launches and manage, coach, and develop the Supply & Product Planner.

Requirements

• 6+ years in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain planning, ideally in FMCG, pharma, healthcare, or another regulated consumer-goods environment, with end-to-end category or function ownership.
• Hands-on experience designing and building procurement or planning frameworks, operating models, and processes from scratch.
• Ability to design and run an S&OP process; hands-on supply and demand planning experience is highly desirable.
• Experience managing or coaching others and developing less experienced team members.
• Proven commercial negotiation experience and the ability to design and deliver category strategies with measurable outcomes.
• Strong working knowledge of Australian import, labelling, and regulatory requirements.
• Analytical capability with cost, margin, and inventory data; ERP and procurement systems experience is advantageous.
• Ability to translate commercial strategy into category plans and collaborate effectively across functions without direct authority.
• Resilience and comfort with ambiguity in a fast-scaling, post-acquisition environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in FMCG, pharma, healthcare, or another regulated consumer-goods environment.
• Familiarity with TGA/ARTG registration processes.
• Hands-on experience with ERP and procurement systems.
